About

I obtained my BA in Prehistoric Archaeology at the Hebrew University (2004), and wrote my MA (2007) on the taphonomy of the Epipaleolithic site of Ein Gev II at the University of Haifa, under Prof. Guy Bar-Oz. My PhD dissertation (same place, same adviser, 2012) was on the archaeozoology of the Late Neolithic site at Sha'ar Hagolan. After a postdoc at the University of Chicago (with Prof. David Schloen), I worked as an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Animal Science in Tel Hai Academic Collage, and as the zooarchaeologist of the Israel Antiquities Authority (2013-2018). In 2019 I started my current job an a Senior Lecturer at the School of Archaeology and Maritime Cultures at the University of Haifa, where I co-direct the Laboratory of Archaeozoology. I live in Haifa with Talia and our sons, Ido and Ori.
